Every Wednesday before centers in Febuary Mrs. Weis had the snowshoes rented for us to go exploring in the woods at school... well we havent had much snow... so when we did have some we had a BLAST!!!  I sure LOVE the energy Mrs. Weis puts into her inside the classroom and outside too!!

True Champion

 Grace I will never forget this years Barnebirkie... you loved every Nordic Kids lesson you went to... you learned so much and I have never been so proud of you.  Skiing 10k by the end of the year on the hardest trail north end of the oo trail head and finishing strong- never giving up.  Your coach and your family are so proud of you how determined and wonderful you are!! But what is even more wonderful is how much you love your friends and family... you could have raced the Barnebirkie with speed and determination you learned in your ski lessons, but your friend who had not skied much this year asked if you would ski with her and you said you would.  You skied the race waiting for her and encouraging her along the way skiing up a bit and coming back for each time... You coach Jen was skiing along the race course, she told me at the end how proud she was of you and the big heart you showed that day!!  WE ARE SO PROUD of the person you are becoming!!!

Barnebirkie 2012

This was Ava's first year to ski the Barnebirkie... she was so excited and nervous.... when she met Spinky that all changed!!!  She skiied next to her new friend the whole way!!  Talking her ear off... it was priceless!!   What a great Barnebirkie!!

Great job lil Noddles!!  So proud of the skiier you are becoming!!

Josie and Ava started together... all giggles and butterflies in their tummies and wings on their backs!!

A LOVE of Skiing.

A wonderful Sunday afternoon on the Birkie trail.  It was a a great family day of skiing!  Grace and Ava have only made it to 3 or four Nordic kids because of so many family birthdays we were excited to go together.  Grace you amaze me with your never ending endurance and drive!!  And Ava you have become so much more brave you are sure and steady, I am so proud of you both!!  And I am so happy to share this amazing sport with my family!! :)
