Deer Hunting 09

Hunting has always been a family tradition for me growing up. The stories, excitment, and family bonding that comes with this sport makes it so much fun. Having my dad hunt with us this year has made it so nice! I love my mom and dad and I am so thankful to have you guys here!

Ava and Grace checking out my buck! They loved it! Grace asked if we could cook it up and eat it tonight! Ava could not believe she was standing next to a buck!

The night before opener we went to Grandpa Joe's for a feast! Grace and Ava loved having both sets of Grandparents to hug!

Joey and Grace are such a cute pair of cousins! Grace calls him her little brother!

Grace and Ava spent time with nana while I hunted! They was a lot of dress up and make believe! Thanks mom for being so great! I love you!

Target Practicing!

We spent this week getting ready for hunting by target practing! Thursday evening was so beautiful!
Can you spot my bullet hole?

What a beautiful end to a great day!

Transportation!

This month at preschool the theme is transportation. The children have learned about cars, trucks, bike, trains, planes, and even horses! On Monday this week I came in to talk to the children about horses and Grace was such a helper! On Wednesday, Jen came to talk to the children about fueling your body with healthy food. Jen helped the kids make smoothies~ Grace's favorite! I will be posting those pictures when I get them. Hank talked to the children about how gas stations work. It was very fun for the kids to see behind the scenes.

Hank taught the children how to pump gas.

The kids loved the hot air balloon at Shell!

Thank you Hank, Jen, and Mrs. Larson! What a fun week!

Grace and Her Entourage

Hiking is a regular routine for our family! It is fun to explore and get all that extra energy out! We usually have quite the following where ever we go. The cats and dogs follow us for miles. When we hike in the pasture the horses like to follow too!

Princess never misses a hike or a run!

Kisses from Scooter!

Scooter and Ecko such sweet hearts!

They are amazed by Grace's sence of adventure!!!

Can cats and horses get along?

Preparing for Deer Hunting!

We really enjoy all the work that goes into hunting! This weekend we spent time in the outdoors getting stands ready, working on the shack, and hiking through the woods looking for fresh scrapes and rubs! I am even more excited for this year because my parents will be coming to hunt with us! I can't wait to share the excitement of this season with my mom and dad!

Jeff has put a lot of work into the shack this fall! It is looking more cozy every day!

I can't believe Jeff even made this antler chandelier!

Crazy Coconuts!

Grace really wanted to open a coconut to taste what fresh coconut is like! It was pretty funny watching Jeff open it!
She liked the coconut meat but not the milk!
